Glass Queens of Cornwall, Devon & Wiltshire have smashed their annual sales. Branch managers Ro Grogan, Lisa Tatum and Yvonne Burns have excelled in their managerial skills and knowledge of the glass and glazing industry to exceed annual sales targets to both trade and retail customers alike. The 3 glass centres are part of the Cornwall Glass Group who have 15 branches spanning across the South West.
Ro, the manager of Warminster & Frome Glass Centre in Wiltshire has surpassed her annual turnover with her fresh and positive outlook. Being hands on, it has enabled Ro to quickly understand all areas of her Glass Centre and what works best. She said ‘I took over managing the branch in April 2011. My friends call me “the Glass Queen” because I’m obsessed with glass. The rest of my team are the same, we are all driven by a shared interest of where the end product will end up and how it will look in situ. This passion is evident to our clients and I’m sure that’s the reason for our ever increasing sales and customer base.’
Lisa, the manager of Plymouth Glass Centre has utilised her glazing team with supporting their sister branch Westcountry Glass (the South West’s leading sealed unit supplier) in glazing enquiries. Alongside the glass, glazing and mirror showroom at Plymouth, Lisa is also a highly skilled leaded light designer, producing, replacing and repairing stained glass windows. Lisa commented ‘My career at Plymouth Glass Centre started nearly 11 years ago, it all stemmed from an evening class, introducing me to Stained Glass. My intrigue with glass, colours, textures, manufacturing, creativity, purpose, application and design has soared. Glass has made such an impact on my life, I view glass in a way, I could never have imagined. My aim is to pass on my love and passion for glass, to my customers’.
Yvonne is the branch manager of Redruth Glass Centre, where she was previously the manager of Penryn Glass Centre, bringing her wealth of experience and knowledge, not to mention her understanding of the local area, to the Redruth branch. Yvonne’s enthusiasm and optimistic personality translates into her branch and her colleagues.
