Cornwall Glass and Glazing, which has its head office in St Austell and 13 South West-based branches, covering the regions of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Wiltshire, benefits from operating over 30 years in the industry, where the wealth of knowledge, understanding and dedication spans throughout each of the branches and a work base of 200 employees (and growing!).

The group began in 1978, formally known as Dave Mitchell Glass & Glazing which later renamed to Truro Glass Centre, where he worked endlessly to build his business. Cornwall Glass prides itself on its Cornish ties and that its a family built and run company. Where Dave has taken a back seat to the company, but still sits on the board as a director, both his sons Mark and Garry now are company directors and shareholders. Their Sister Lisa also has worked in the company and Mum Heather continues to work in Truro’s mirror showroom. The group is also joined with 4 other directors; Angus Herdman in sales, Martin Phillips in finance, Mark Norcliffe and Paul Garrard.

The group made its major move in 1998, the company acquired Solaglas which was based in St. Austell. Solaglas had been the main suppliers to the company and now with this acquisition they strengthened their market position and gave the opportunity of manufacturing their own products. This is when they group became Cornwall Glass & Glazing ltd which acts as the hub of the group. Our branches currently operate in; Penzance, Redruth, Penryn, Truro, St. Austell, Newquay, Launceston, Saltash, Plymouth, Exeter, Yeovil, Highbridge, Warminster and Bristol.

Over the years, particularly from 1998 onwards, Cornwall Glass have continued to invest in branches across the South West, the technology and state-of-the-art machinery in their manufacturing factories and its team members skills and knowledge as well as creating more jobs for the community, Cornwall Glass has positioned itself as a leading glass and glazing company in the South West.
