Mulled wine, mince pies and the big man himself were all part of the festivities at Redruth Glass Centre on Thursday.

fc-2016

Branch manager, Yvonne Burns said “I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to the town. It’s currently undergoing a massive regeneration so it’s an exciting time in Redruth.”

With discounts all day for shoppers instore, a steady stream of visitors browsed the many mirrors and home decorations as well as receiving their Glass Goody Bag! Redruth glass supplies and installs glass for many local businesses and retail customers. Installations of glass mirrors, painted splashbacks, balustrades to name but a few can be viewed in local school, distinguished Hotels, private properties and even yachts!

Father Christmas made a special appearance to the branch and delighted children and colleagues alike! With a winter wonderland, fantastic, purpose built grotto and gifts for all the children he was a big hit. Just a shame he couldn’t bring his reindeer in…some concern about breakages apparently!

yvonne-and-mark-m There was a serious side to the event too with local businesses and colleagues throughout the CGG group donating items for an impressive Christmas Hamper holding everything foodie and festive. Mark Mitchell (CGG Managing Director) was “delighted that our colleagues nurture the same values as our company when it comes to those in need, especially at Christmas.” Yvonne chose to support the Children’s Hospice South West with proceeds from the Hamper raffle. Little Harbour is an amazing place which does fantastic work.

Yvonne chose to support the Children’s Hospice South West with proceeds from the Hamper raffle. Little Harbour is an amazing place which does fantastic work with life-limited children and their families. Redruth town’s Santander Bank pledged to match any monies raised from the raffle which has taken the total to an amazing £1,000. It is hoped that this will make a small but significant difference to this wonderful charity.

So we say to all the team at Redruth Glass for hosting such a gloriously, festive event, THANK YOU!
