The Cornwall Glass & Glazing Group enjoyed two days of UV bonding and thick glass cutting training with Bohle at their Exeter & Mackenzie Glass Centre and M5 Glass Centre in Highbridge. Colleagues from across the group attended the two days to further increase their knowledge and skills where these will further the services provided across the groups individual branches.
The Cornwall Glass & Glazing Group have for many years recognised the many virtues of staff training and on-going collaboration with suppliers. Thick glass cutting and UV bonding were the primary focus of the Bohle training sessions where Andy Riste and Chris Batson conducted the training. Their years of industry knowledge coupled with the very latest tools and innovations made full and challenging days for the Cornwall Glass & Glazing colleagues. Recent informal training events given by Bohle highlighted the strength of this on-going relationship and the benefits of the training to the group and colleagues alike. With over ** years of partnership Cornwall Glass Group and Bohle have used the informal workshop setting to train new techniques, introduce latest innovation and to maintain the professional competences of the Cornwall Glass teams.
An opportunity arose to put the UV bonding into practise during the training sessions where one of the groups HGV Drivers and glass handling specialist based at Westcountry Glass in Saltash, wanted to encase his model Aircraft Carrier in a stylish and safe way. With the model being over 1.2m long it presented a substantial UV bonding project for the training with brilliant results for the finished project.
